Join us for an intimate evening led by celebrated Russian percussionist, Andrey Tanzyu. Born and raised in Moscow, Andrey is now a citizen of the world, cherished by audiences across continents for his deep understanding and mastery of percussion. With a career spanning over 25 years, Andrey is recognized as one of the most accomplished percussionists, a pioneer of frame drum music in Russia, and a devoted researcher of the musical traditions of India, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, and beyond.
Andrey’s expertise in world, ethnic, and Sufi music has earned him three “Russian Word Music Awards” for Best Project of the Year, along with widespread respect at international festivals. As the visionary behind musical ensembles such as “Seven Eight Band,” “Mozaika,” “Timeless Vibes,” and “The Leaving Earth,” Andrey has created a legacy in percussion. His frame drum school, Frame Drum Family, is the largest of its kind in Russia and has drawn students from across the globe.
Beyond music, Andrey is also a gifted conversationalist with a rich sense of humor, a world traveler, and an extraordinary photographer whose journeys have taken him through diverse cultures and landscapes.
